I'll be rolling back though, probably to 58. The CPU temp idles at
55C. It ratchets up to 60 when web surfing.

The ASUS Eee 1000H, damn i need a nickname too.... Ronin. (My MBP is Kensei). Also has a whir when fan goes over 30% its kinda annoying only when there is no ambient noise in the room.
The problem with the S10 is that the fan noise was nothing....FULL BORE...nothing.....FULL BORE... so it was annoying, more than a fan that runs all the time. And it did it when the computer wasn't doing anything too! If 60 degrees is no big deal (I haven't researched opertaing temps for the Atoms) I'll ignore the red bar in the sensors applet. I think the fan is throttled way down in 59.

Oh yeah, Hirens Boot CD is the way I got the bios updated despite Cupcake being a Linux box. It's Windows XP on a CD.
